Day 1: Your adventure begins with a prompt 3:00 AM pickup from your Aswan hotel or Nile Cruise. After meeting your group, you’ll board a comfortable, air-conditioned van for the approximately 3-hour drive through the desert towards Abu Simbel, typically arriving around 6:00-6:30 AM. Upon arrival, you’ll have ample time (usually 2-3 hours) to explore the awe-inspiring Great Temple of Ramses II and the smaller Temple of Hathor and Nefertari. Marvel at the colossal statues, intricate hieroglyphs, and the incredible story behind their relocation. Your driver will provide insights during the journey and assist with orientation at the site. After soaking in the historical magnificence and capturing stunning photographs, you’ll reconvene with your group for the return journey to Aswan, arriving back at your accommodation by approximately 3:00-4:00 PM.
