Arrival in Aswan & Nile Cruise Embarkation. Upon arrival at Aswan Airport or your hotel, you will be met by your private guide and transferred to your luxurious 5-star Nile cruise ship. After check-in and lunch, begin your exploration of Aswan. Visit the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel, and the beautiful Unfinished Obelisk. Continue to the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, reached by a scenic motorboat ride. In the late afternoon, enjoy a tranquil felucca ride on the Nile, admiring Kitchener’s Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.
Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples. Wake up to a delicious breakfast as your cruise sets sail north. Your first stop is the Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to two deities, Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the falcon-headed god. Explore its mirrored courtyards and intricate carvings. Return to the ship for lunch and continue sailing to Edfu, home to the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. After visiting the temple by horse-drawn carriage, return to your ship. Enjoy dinner and entertainment on board as you sail towards Luxor, passing through the Esna Lock. Overnight on board.
Luxor’s East & West Banks. After breakfast, prepare for a full day of exploration in Luxor. Begin with the West Bank, often called the “City of the Dead.” Your private guide will lead you through the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were buried in richly decorated tombs (entry to Tutankhamun’s tomb is an optional extra). Continue to the stunning Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a masterpiece of ancient architecture, and conclude with a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Amenhotep III. After lunch back on the cruise, explore Luxor’s East Bank. Visit the colossal Karnak Temple Complex, the largest ancient religious site in the world, and the elegant Luxor Temple, beautifully lit at night. Return to the ship for your farewell dinner and final night of entertainment on board. Overnight in Luxor.
